Abstract

This study discusses the multicultural propaganda communication patterns Muhammad Hatta in jail first vice president Mohammad Hatta, who exiled the Netherlands in 1936 in Banda, middle Maluku, Maluku Province. Study is to examine how communication patterns Muhammad Hatta Multicultural propaganda disseminated in Islamic society cultural and transformative. The style is a qualitative research study that examines the historical sites. and in-depth interviews with Muslim leaders in Banda in obtaining data in the field. Based on interviews and observations on the historical sites, this study found that the movement of thought have spread in the community when using patterns of propaganda and multicultural communications. This is done Muhammad Hatta while exiled in Banda are dealing with Islam and Islamic cultural transformative very diverse. Multicultural propaganda communication phase includes setting the agenda in prison designing miniature Homeland by making the names of the village. The name of the village include the village Dwiwarna (as a symbol of Indonesian flag colors), Village Nusantara (as a symbol of the country's territorial Indonesia), Eagle Village (as a symbol of the philosophy of the Republic of Indonesia), the village of Kampung Baru (as a symbol of Indonesia Merdeka), Istanah Mini (as Istanah symbol of the Republic of Indonesia), Village Merdeka (as a symbol that Indonesia will be free for the blessings of God's grace with lofty ideas and help Inayatullah).
